Rather disappointed to find our otherwise excellent Siemens / Bosch washing machine door was falling apart and that it was held together by mere plastic studs/rivets. A quick check on YouTube showed earlier models had screws instead. Peering into the separating parts showed the lugs were still there, so simply replaced all the plastic studs with stainless steel self tapping screws. Machine approx 5 years old. Replacement door available for £122, so saved on that or a new machine.
