You will be far away this Christmas It may seem colder than before This year I might go walking longer In the forest past the chapel door I hope it snows where you are living I hope your wife and children too Know the joy to be together, stronger than what a man alone could ever do You will be far away this Christmas It may seem colder than before I'll wrap up warm and think of your embrace When you held me, when our love was sore The wind is harsher here in winter But the Christmas carols soft and sweet And the pines are swaying to the chorus And the stars are whispering that some day we will meet
